Bahía de Kino, Sonora, Mexico

I will write only a brief note here, because the pictures I’m posting in a new photo album called “Demolition and…” will describe for you far more effectively what is going on than any words I could muster! Suffice it to say that the day after we moved ourselves out of the old portion of the house, into the garage and new guest quarters, things started to fly: plaster, dirt, old floor tiles, windows, etc. We finished moving out last Monday, and on Tuesday we spent the day in Hermosillo buying supplies. When we came back, the house as we had know it was no more! And things continue to happen very quickly!
Both Perry and I are engaged on a regular basis in making detail decisions, explaining what we REALLY meant, performing quality control, and sometimes just coming up with something absolutely new to deal with changes made by the trabajadores when we were distracted elsewhere!
There were a few incidents this week that did divert our attention from “the project,” however, and I’ve included a few “animal moments” to lighten your load!

I just got DSL and thought I would celebrate by going to your website, since now I can see the pictures without waiting forever! I love how your house has progressed. I like what you are doing with the sea wall-which is what had just gotten poured when I last saw your blog. And I appreciated the picture of the cow. I was thinking that it was beginning to look too civilized. THanks, Susan
